About
Scrub for acne-prone skin
Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub is an oil-free scrub that is suitable for face and body. It contains Lactic Acid that removes impurities without drying out the skin. The exfoliating action of natural micro particles works against dead skin cells − one of the key causes of blackheads and spots. It gently cleanses skin and removes make-up. Pores are unclogged, impurities and blackheads are reduced and skin texture is visibly smooth and refined.
How To Use
Step-by-step guide for DERMOPURE Scrub
Cleanse skin in the morning and evening: am: to remove the sebum and dead skin cells that have accumulated overnight pm: to remove make-up and free skin from the day’s dirt Use gentle cleansing products such as Eucerin DERMOPURE Cleansing Gel with lukewarm water and follow with an appropriate toner. You may also benefit from using a scrub once a week to unclog pores and refine skin texture. We do not recommend using an alcohol-based toner and the scrub alongside acne medication as it can make skin more sensitive. If you like the refreshing feel of a toner, try the alcohol-free Eucerin DERMOPURE Micellar Water instead.
Cover blemishes and even out skin tone with foundation and/or a concealer. Choose products that are non-comedogenic (i.e. that will not block pores) and, ideally, ones that contain ingredients that work to improve the condition of blemish-prone skin. Be sure to remove all make-up before you go to bed.

Ingredients
We choose all our ingredients with great care and never compromise on quality. Learn more about the key ingredients of this product.
Lactic Acid (also known as Lactate) is part of skin’s Natural Moisturising Factor (NMF) and a key component of skin’s protective acid mantle which regulates the pH value of skin. It absorbs and retains moisture within the outermost layer of the skin and so plays a vital role in skin condition. It is also comedolytic.
These micro particles are fine beads of Lactic Acid and cellulose that gently remove dead skin cells, open the pores and simultaneously refine the skin.
Eucerin has made a significant step towards more environmentally-friendly products and does not use any microbeads made of polyethylene (PE). The cellulose particles that we use are a mixture of microcrystalline cellulose and silicon dioxide particles. These particles are gentle and skin-friendly and deliver the same results as less environmentally-friendly micro plastic alternatives.
How often should I use Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub?
We recommend you use the scrub once a week, instead of the Cleansing Gel. However, due to its mild formula the product is suitable for daily use so you can use it more frequently.
Can I use Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub alongside the Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment?
Yes. You can use the Scrub once a week while using Eucerin DERMOPURE Skin Renewal Treatment.
Do I need to use Eucerin DERMOPURE Cleansing Gel before the Scrub?
No. Use Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub instead of your usual cleanser but be sure to remove any eye make-up (try Eucerin DERMOPURE Micellar Water) before using the scrub and be careful not to get the scrub in your eyes.
I’ve previously used the Eucerin DermoPurifyer Scrub. What is the difference between that and Eucerin DERMOPURE Scrub?
We’ve changed the fragrance, the name and the packaging. The active ingredients in the formula remain the same.
Is acne caused by poor hygiene?
No. There are a lot of myths surrounding the causes and triggers of acne and poor hygiene is one of them. Blemish-prone skin is not a sign of poor hygiene. On the contrary, washing skin too frequently with aggressive cleansing products can irritate skin even more. We recommend that you cleanse your face twice a day using mild cleansers specially formulated for oily, blemish-prone skin and which clinically and dermatologically proven to remove excess sebum, sweat and dead skin cells without drying skin. It’s also important not to fiddle with your spots and to keep your hands away from your face.
